In her blog, Thoughts and Whatever Else, Kimmy writes her musings on love in her entry, "Pano kung love na nga?" I read her piece and wrote a few comments. Some days later, we saw each other and had a little chat...
Kimmy: Paano mo alam kung love na nga? Kasi pwede mo namang i-rationalize eh.
Terence: Kaya nga maganda yung sinulat mo. Tama ka, madulas nga ang pag-ibig, lalo na kapag akala mong hawak na hawak mo na. Hindi sadyang mabibitaw. Mahuhlog. Mababasag. At dahan-dahan mong itatagpi muli. It is not rationaliztion when a person loves from a deep acceptance of brokenness, hurt, vulnerability, and need for wholeness---at the same time facing these with courage and hope.
Kimmy: And this goes for friendship, too.
